Home on the Range

So, I've figured out that there are over 120 locations both stateside and abroad where my family ancestors hail from. From towns like Monticello, MN and Salem, MA all the way to Wiltshire, England and Damascus, Syria.

I'm feeling a little disorganized, so it'll help that I concentrate my studies on the first 4 generations. Once I get that down, I know I'll feel good about moving on. In getting more organized, I will then be able to venture out and visit cemetaries, court houses and the like, in order to get my hands on actual documentation.

I'm starting over, and converting my page here to share information about the research on my family tree project that I started at the beginning of the year. It's a hobby that has sucked me in and already I've accumulated 925 family members in my tree so far. I've decided to switch my focus a bit, and concentrate on the first 4 generations, gathering specific documentation and to come up with a timeline of sorts. Both to track where my ancestors lived, but also what life was like around them.
